Always on the lookout for new firefighting technologies and attentive to our customers' needs, Maxi Metal introduced one of the most innovative compressed air foam systems (CAFS) on the market in 2005.


Built to the NFPA 1901-2009 performance standard, the easy-to-use Maxi CAFS system is operational within seconds and remarkably effective. It uses four times less water and six times less foam concentrate than traditional foam-based extinguishing systems, greatly reducing its environmental impact.


Highly adaptable, the system can be installed on both new and existing vehicles.


The Maxi foam system includes

• PTO-driven 60 - 200 CFM rotary screw compressor
• FoamPro proportioner for all brands of class A or class A and B foams
• Automatic pressure balancing system
• Attack hose reels with electric rewind (optional)

In 2009, the city of Saint-Georges won the Joseph-Beaubien gold award from des municipalités du Québec for its project "Integration and Development of a Compressed Air Foam System (Maxi CAFS) for Firefighting Vehicles."
